The Science of Meditation for Mental Health Workshop- RECORDING
Available only until April 7th!!!
Did you know meditation changes the structure of our brain?
Over the last several decades, scientists have been discovering more & more about how mindfulness meditation can impact our mental health for the better. It is shown to sharpen attention, increase stress resiliency, cultivate compassion, and strengthen our prefrontal cortex & hippocampus.
Meditation is also shown to reduce the size of the amygdala, our fear control center responsible for emotions, anxiety, and stress. This allows for processing and reframing, as well as healthy parasympathetic nervous activation. It helps heal emotional traumas bringing peace & acceptance.
Join a live-streamed community as we share valuable information on this important topic that could change how we interact with the world & ourselves.
There will be gentle movement, mindfulness meditation, breath work, powerpoint discussion on the science of meditation, and end with a nourishing relaxation practice.
Learn mindfulness tools for better self-regulation.
The workshop will include gentle yoga movements, meditation, mantra sounds, and breath work. We will finish with a soothing relaxation practice to tap into our parasympathetic (rest & digest) system.
We will dive into the science of meditation & evidence based practices to better self-regulate the mind-body connection.
This is a safe space where you show up just as you are. You do not need any previous experience.
What does this workshop include?

"The real power comes when the mind is paying attention to the internal experience and that brings about a direct healing affect, both physiologically, psychologically, and emotionally."
- Dr. Michael de Manincor
Many people do not realize the incredible impact slowing down and being mindful can be for our overall health. Some believe meditation is sitting in an uncomfortable seat while doing nothing and think they just can't shut off their mind. Some will even say, "I just can't meditate. I can't stop thinking."
It is so much more than this. It is an active form of training for the mind to increase awareness. Think of if as doing push ups for the brain. Anyone can learn how to meditate.
People who practice mindfulness show better mental health than 70% of the population on average. The data shows it reduces symptoms of depression & anxiety as well as create a sense of belonging to ourself.
We are living in a blanket of collective trauma & the most uncertainty that we've seen in our lives.
I would love to show you how to care for yourself during this time.
